  10. I had once thought that religion was your opium. I have since come 
  11. to wonder which of the two really was more addicting and/or
  12. stupeficant, and thus that I might be well to rethink
  13. the whole notion.

  15. Do any of you have experiences of either or both which you
  16. would be willing to share?

  18. What is your favorite way of ingesting religion?  Is the
  19. bong or the televangelist most effective?  Would you
  20. say that the average fundamentalist is more of a helpless and
  21. pathetic soul sucking on the lifeblood of the body politic
  22. than the average opium user?  This is the  conclusion I am 
  23. beginning to reach after careful study.

  25. Perhaps you enlightened persons can suggest a few psychoactives
  26. which would more aptly serve as metaphor in this formulation.
